     Linda Coers Mann, 77, of Newark passed away Monday, May 15, 2017 at the I.U. Hospice House in Bloomington.  Linda was born in Shelbyville on July 5, 1939 to Russell and Mildred (Kuhn) Coers.  Linda was a 1957 graduate of Shelbyville High School and worked at I.U. Athletics as an accountant for 29 years until retiring in 2004.  Linda was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Arlington Methodist Church and then Solsberry Christian Church.  Linda loved her family, friends, cooking, reading, crossword puzzles and numbers that balanced out.

     Linda is survived by her daughters, Leigh Ann (Brian) Apple of Spencer, Amy (Bennie D.) Flynn of Solsberry, grandchildren, Jennifer (Brandon) Allee, Madison Bow(Cody Christian), Alex Bow, Conner Flynn, great-grandchildren, Molly Christian, and Olivia Allee.

      Siblings, Christine (Bob) Laird, Nile (Susan) Coers, Nancy (Dave) Brazier, nieces and nephews, Tony, Roger, Susan, Holly, Doug, Mark and Karen.

     Linda was preceded in death by her parents, and grandson, Adam Adkins.

     In honor of Linda‚Äôs wishes, a celebration of life will be held at the Solsberry Christian Church from 4:00PM until 7:00 PM, Monday, May 22, 2017.  A private burial will take place in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Shelbyville, Indiana.  

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the I.U. Health Hospice House through West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, 105 North Montgomery Street, Spencer, Indiana 47460.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at

To all the family and friends of Miss Linda.
  Having the greatest Mother in Law in the world I understand the loss and pain of her passing. She will be missed but forever shall be in the thoughts and minds of those whom she impacted. It was indeed an Honor and privilege to know and share several years with her.

The loss of a loved one is a very sad and heavy load to bear. May you find comfort at Acts 24:15 "And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." Please accept my sympathy.
