  Rosalie “Rose” Elizabeth Lucas, 88, wife of Lloyd H. Lucas of Poland, Indiana, passed away on April 24th peacefully in her sleep.
Rosalie was born in Vigo County on April 22nd, 1929. She graduated from Riley High School in 1947. In addition to working on the family 282 acre farm, she also worked outside the home. She retired after 30 years of service at the Owen County Courthouse Auditor’s office, previously working in the Clerk's office.
Rosalie is survived by her husband of 65 years, Lloyd H. Lucas of Poland. They were married on March 15th, 1952. She is lovingly remembered by her family and friends for her kind smile, generous hospitality, love of reading, and delicious cooking, especially banana nut bread.
She is also survived by her brothers Charles Raymond Myers (Patricia) of Terre Haute, Indiana, Donald Myers (Suzanne) of Westview, Kentucky; her sister Barbara Milner (Harvey) of Terre Haute, Indiana; her sister-in-law Carole (Lucas) Cassida; special niece Caitlin Myers Jennings (Phillip) and nephew Donald “JR” Myers and numerous other nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents Charles and Lesta Myers of Terre Haute.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, April 28th at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer, Indiana. The Visitation will be held from 4:00- 7:00pm on Thursday, April 27th also at West & Parrish & Pedigo. Burial will follow the funeral at Carolina Cemetery.

So sorry for your loss.  She was such a cheerful person to be around. Did her hair at Maureens Beauty Shoppe for along time. She knew my family from Bowling Green so we always talked about the Old Settlers Reunion. Prayers

On behalf of the Manion family, we offer our deepest sympathy for your loss. Rosalee was a beautiful women that we had the honor of knowing all our lives as friends and neighbors. We are unable to attend service due to the loss again of another sibling. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you.
